Lodge Planning
As we move through the Masonic year, don’t forget to keep updating your lodge plans. Use tools like the LEA form, membership plan, & calendars to help keep brothers & families plugged-in with engaging educational programs or social events. Set a membership goal and aim to join the lodges that are seeing net gains in membership this year. Communicate to your membership often even through months when you may be dark. Plan your work on the Trestleboard, then work your plan!
The event calendar is filling up nicely – please keep sending the District Team your updates.
Fraternally,
Tom Stevens, DDGM#2

New WI Program Posting Books
NEW POSTING CERTIFICATION TRAINING

As presented at Grand Lodge, the new posting program is hot off the press. The District team has begun providing training on the new program. All lodges must be certified before orders can be placed from the WI Square Store. We know many of you would like to start using it right away. Please reach out to your AA to get the training scheduled. Joint presentations will be scheduled in each area as well.

If lodges have unused copies of the Wisconsin Program binders, they can be traded in for copies of the new posting books when available.

I will provide the next training on 6/14 right after Eau Claire #112’s stated meeting.

Lodge Spruce Up Award is Back

Back by popular demand, the Lodge Spruce Up Award will be available for lodges making facility improvements over the next year.

Lodges that complete a facility improvement project may qualify to receive a Spruce-up Award and grant. Remodeling, painting, landscaping, and other facility improvement projects completed during the year may qualify for a Lodge Spruce-Up Award with an accompanying grant that could range up to a $500 limit. To be considered for the Spruce-up Award, the project must be complete, and the on-line award application must be submitted.

Be sure to save your receipts and take some pictures so show off all the hard work!

District #2 Newsletter – Traditions

Apron-Display.jpg

Hello District 2!

I hope everyone had a great Easter and had a chance to relax and spend time with loved ones. My kids way-too-early morning excitement about the Easter bunny makes me think about how traditions have passed down in our family. Now I know how my parents felt and why they seemed so tired on Easter. Many lodges operate under traditions passed on through the generations. Be respectful of history, but don’t be afraid to try new things or take on new events to make spice things up. Try to ensure your lodge is offering something of value to new members and keeping current members engaged. If you aren’t sure what would keep the sidelines filled, ask your Brothers. The Grand Master’s listening sessions have provided a great list of ideas to start.

Many thanks to Br. Larry Ganske, District Lecturer, who has been very busy traveling for the new format School of Instruction. Hopefully your lodges have taken advantage of his expertise and had a chance to learn something new. I’d also like to thank the Lodges that have completed your inspections during district team visits. If you haven’t submitted the form yet, we’ll be in touch soon regarding a lodge visitation.

Our fraternity has lost some great brothers recently, particularly in District 2. For those that have been able to attend these Masonic services, your support is greatly appreciated. It is important to pay our respects to our Brothers and it makes quite the statement when we have a large turnout. I was overwhelmed to see nearly 100 Masons from throughout the district attend Br. Dan Walter’s service. Be there when it counts & keep up the good work!

Fraternally,

Tom Stevens, DDGM#2
